Abstract
As librarians, we understand and appreciate the value of reading for professional development in order to meet the needs of our faculty and students, learn something new, and to spark innovation and forward-thinking. As the selector of Library Science titles, I recognize the need to proactively encourage use of the collection. Busy schedules and work demands often push reading for professional development to the bottom of our priority list. Gone are the days when we had time to browse the physical stacks to find inspiration. I will share how I created a digital, browsable representation of our collection on LibGuides. The primary goal was to promote new acquisitions in the collection on a quarterly basis and offer an easy method to browse and link directly to catalog records and ebooks. The format has been positively received and shown increased usage of the collection.
