<title>Wild Game Tracking System</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/2374.MIA/6749</link>
<description>Wild Game Tracking System
Ribby, Travis; Beery, Jeffrey; McElroy, Clinton
The objective of this project was to design a mechanical carrier that attaches to the end of an arrow which was outfitted with a radio frequency transmitter placed inside of a potted housing. Once the arrow was fired, the mechanical carrier delivered the RF transmitter to the target and become detached upon impact. With the transmitter attached to the target, the user could use the RF receiver to follow the beacon and locate the target. Testing was performed to measure the RSSI at any given distance. It was expected that the RSSI would get lower as the transmitter got further away from the receiver. The RSSI was measured at five different distances and decreased with distance, as intended.

<title>Up Down Vote Badge</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/2374.MIA/6745</link>
<description>Up Down Vote Badge
Eisenbrandt, Nicole; Mohamed, Liban
This project endeavors to generate a battery-controlled vote tabulating device (badge) with count capabilities for future analytical and behavioral study use. Goals: • To produce a battery-controlled vote tabulating device for analytical and behavioral study use, as Miami's Psychology Department sees fit. • To design the device so that there are two indicators, an up and down arrow mimics the vote tabulating machines in the episode, Majority Rule, from the Fox series TheOrville. The user, or other individuals, chooses their indicator based upon their, or others, reaction to behavior, where the device counts in an upwards fashion. • To display the device's count, choose and utilize smart components to connect the tabulating device to the internet via Bluetooth. • To create an application (App) interface that will display count results. This App design interface creation is to be done in conjunction with Miami's Psychology Department input once the general purpose (showing results) is complete.

<title>Triple Falling-Ball Viscometer Small-Scale Pipeline System</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/2374.MIA/6743</link>
<description>Triple Falling-Ball Viscometer Small-Scale Pipeline System
Shirk, Ted; Nguyen, Thuc; Rufer, Kyle
The purpose of this project is to design and build two lab components (The&#13;
Flexible Triple Falling-Ball Viscometer and Small-Scale Pipeline) used in the fluid&#13;
mechanics classes at Miami University. These components are being designed,&#13;
built, and tested so they can be reproduced for both Miami campuses and regional&#13;
locations. With this in mind we developed the following goals:&#13;
&#13;
● To design and build lab components for Miami University’s fluid mechanics&#13;
classes. &#13;
● Provide components which will give the student an opportunity to learn and&#13;
apply concepts and principles learned within the class. &#13;
This project will enhance our experience and understanding in our field of study,&#13;
as well as provide others with components to enhance theirs also.

<title>Prototype Vacuum Former</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/2374.MIA/6741</link>
<description>Prototype Vacuum Former
Bach, Mindy; Gagliano, Danielle
The purpose of this project is to design a small vacuum forming machine capable of running both prototype tooling and service parts for prior models that have ended their production life. This project will create a smaller, more easily manageable, vacuum former to improve the process for producing prototype samples, running early trial orders, and manufacturing prior model service parts. Due to their low volume production of these parts, it becomes too costly and time consuming to produce these on their current machines that are intended for manufacturing high volumes and require multiple people to run.
